Lights, Camera, Action: Writer’s Workshop
What do writers do? This training will show participants how to create a classroom that fosters a love for writing by using Writer’s Workshop. Participants will learn the basics for getting started, practice conferring, see some mini-lessons and make plans to begin or improve a Writer’s Workshop in their own classroom.
Writer’s Workshop Institute
This work goes in-depth over a series of days and with several presentations on the topic of Writer’s Workshop. Writer’s Workshop is a powerful method for teaching writers and curriculum. Participants will be immersed in the workshop model and will spend time building their very own Writer’s Notebooks and reading research related to best practice writing instruction.
